Why northeast people

When people get to know that I am from Nagaland, they say, "oh you eat dogs, you eat snakes" and they say that's so "barbaric". They say, "How can you eat pigs? They are so disgusting! I don't deny that we do eat pork. Pork is delicious! I realised that it's because of ignorance that they judge us in this manner.

So I try to educate them on our life and culture. And, by the way, I don't eat dog meat. I love them too much to eat them. Some people are quite open to finding out about other cultures; they are ready to experiment. Some Indians have also travelled to the north-east and explored the region. They praise us for our hospitality. I've never really thought of myself as not being an Indian.

Nagaland is on the map of India. Yes, I am a Naga but that doesn't mean I am not an Indian or any less of an Indian than Indians who live elsewhere in the country. I hate to say this but yes, people from the north-east do face discrimination in other pars of India. We are also discriminated in the workplace. I worked in a company in the capital, Delhi, and I felt that those who were less qualified than me and those who didn't perform as well as I did were promoted over me.

But I continued to believe in myself because I am who I am. Most of the tribes or tribal communities are concentrated in the hilly states of Arunachal Pradesh; Nagaland; Manipur; Mizoram, on Myanmar border; and Meghalaya, sandwiched between Assam and Bangladesh.

While the tribes of Arunachal migrated to this region at a very early date, the arrival of the Nagas, Kukis and Mizos in their present habitat is relatively recent.

Most of the indigenous people of North-East India have embraced Christianity, transforming the social ethos and cultural practices of the Nagas, the Mizos, the Khasi and the Garos.

The Bodos, the largest tribal group of the region and largely confined to Assam, have adopted Hinduism and are known by different names like Bodos, Kacharis and Mechs. I hate south indians the most and even Delhi too.

They are so racist. Why do I have to go through so much hate and suffering brcause of their ignorance of knowing! And they say brain drain and all those shit! I always loved my country but as I grew up its becoming too difficult to take in so much hate. After all we are human beings. They need to experience how racism feels like and its not something nice that they are doing. Instead they are criticizing us based on looks and other shitty physical features or appearances.

These indians are racist. We will teach them a lesson when they come to north east. Just wait. These indians are actually corona because they are spreading the virus. North East has few cases thag also because of jamat members and bangladeshis. Agree that people from north east face racism in North India especially in Delhi. But at the same time, before taking high moral ground, they should ponder over that they themselves hold prejudice against bengalis, unlike Delhi, which had no past history of prejudice against bengalis and in fact sheltered bengali refugees.

The current imbroglio over CAA in Assam is a classic example of prejudice against bengalis. Corona was spread by Indian not by northeast… People … Corona have not even rich northeast.. I have never heard such an incident that any mainland north India person are beaten up in North East India. It is no true in fact north Indian people think that they are superior than northeast people. No wonder such a comment is pooping up bcoz india is racist country and also street look dirty Actual their mentally are worst than Hitler.

Come to the northeast we have cleanest village in asian. You people need to learn lession from us. They demand an archaic Inner Line Permit, which the Britishers had introduced to isolate them. This demand which they make today also indicates they want to retain the isolation. On January 29, , a young guy named Nido Taniam was beaten to death in in the Lajpat Nagar area of Delhi, the reason he looked simply different. In two young guys from Mizoram were beaten in Bangalore for not speaking their local language.

They are told to prove their nationality. These people not given jobs, house on the basis of their ethnicity or race. The problem is that we never talked about their culture, their stories and is not explored with rest of India. Even Bollywood has done harm by not giving right information. The Government should take responsibility for teaching the country about history, culture and politics of this Nation.

In the end, I would like to say — Who is an Indian?
